WE PROMISED
Runtime 01:39:12
"We Promised" is an amazing true story of one families love and respect for their mother/grandmother and the deep yet professional bond that quickly develops between Cathy the Care-giver and her client Mae. Cathy is sent in as a worker from an In-Home-Health agency to care for Mae and in only five short weeks Cathy and the family watch as Mae spirals from a fully functioning, central hub of a large rural family to death. In that short time Mae loses everything, and yet in some unique and deeply moving way, the family gains everything; things that make the word "family" truly meaningful. The story documents the passing of the last five weeks of Mae's life, one week at a time, and shows not only the decline of Mae but also the strong legacy of love and interrelationship between family members and the love of a Care-giver that really did care.
